Accounting and tax services

What I take care of, depending on your situation.

Every engagement starts with a meeting under no commitment and a written quote.

01

Self-employed

You carry the responsibility for your business on your own. I keep the books and file the returns, and I warn you before the deadline — not after.

Bookkeeping
Recording and filing of documents, matching of entries, bank reconciliations and interim statements during the year.
VAT returns
Preparation and electronic filing of periodic and annual VAT returns, with deadlines monitored throughout.
Income tax
Tax return for the business owner, rental income, business expenses and deductible charges.
Setting up a business
Application for the business permit, application for a VAT number, registration with the Joint Social Security Centre (CCSS).
Tax advice
Advice on direct taxation and VAT : choice of regime, treatment of transactions, decisions weighed up before they are made.

02

Small business & retail

A company runs on a calendar : closing, filing, tax assessments, payroll. I hold the whole thread, from one financial year to the next.

Bookkeeping
Full accounting under the Luxembourg Standard Chart of Accounts, journals, trial balances and quarterly statements.
Annual accounts
Preparation of the balance sheet, the profit and loss account and the notes, followed by electronic filing with the register.
Corporate tax
Corporate income tax, municipal business tax and net wealth tax returns, follow-up on assessments and dealings with the tax authorities.
Payroll and staff
Payslips, social security declarations, staff arrivals and departures, salary certificates.
Management reporting
Margin tables, cash monitoring and review points during the year, as often as suits you.
Company formation
Application for the business permit, application for a VAT number, registration of the company with the Joint Social Security Centre (CCSS).
Tax advice
Advice on direct taxation and VAT, ahead of decisions rather than at the point of filing.

03

Hotels & restaurants

A sector with several VAT rates, sharp seasonality and shifting staff. I have known it since the practice began.

Multiple VAT rates
Splitting takings across the applicable rates, checking tills and receipts, filing periodic returns.
Seasonal staff
Arrival and departure declarations, casual staff, overtime and statutory public holidays.
Operational accounting
Monitoring of purchases, waste and food cost, compared from one season to the next.
Annual accounts and tax
Closing, balance sheet, tax returns and filing with the register within the statutory deadlines.
Tax advice
Advice on direct taxation and VAT, in particular on splitting takings and on benefits in kind.

04

Private individuals

Taxation of private individuals : income tax returns, joint taxation, cross-border commuters, rental income. The special case is the rule rather than the exception.

Income tax return
Preparation and filing of the return, for residents and non-residents alike, taxed individually or jointly.
Cross-border commuters
Treatment of foreign-source income, double taxation treaties and tax assimilation.
Rental income
Determination of net income, depreciation, interest paid and deductible charges.
Annual adjustment
Review of the tax assessment, appeals and annual adjustment requests submitted to the tax authorities.

Financial accounting

Holding companies — SOPARFI and SPF

Bookkeeping, annual accounts, filing with the register and tax follow-up for asset-holding structures. A field where the regularity of filings and the consistency of successive financial years matter as much as the amounts involved — I have worked in it since the practice began.

A first meeting, with no commitment.

You set out your situation, I tell you what it actually means in terms of time and obligations. Reply as soon as possible.
